All choir types are welcomed - mixed-voice choirs, treble-voice choirs… (New Zealand high school choirs are aged 11-18).
The week long festival not only offers the chance to sing down under, but also gives choristers the opportunity to experience life in New Zealand. As part of the festival programme, International choirs will be matched with a New Zealand choir and hosted in New Zealand homes and schools.
The festival programme includes in-school workshops, aspects of Polynesian and Maori choral music as well as sightseeing in Auckland, rehearsal and performance opportunities, a recording, 2 days of competition and an evening concert at Auckland's renowned Holy Trinity Cathedral.
